The Rushing Rivers Institute is looking for student interns and work study students to be involved in our research and data analysis.
Students interested in:
- Identification of macroinvertebrates
- Reference fish communities
- Modeling of habitat for fish, mussels and invertebrates
- Simulation of river flows in response to watershed modification and climate change
- Impacts of historical watershed alteration
- GIS river and watershed models
- Aerial imagery interpretation
- Environmental sensor networks
- Ecologically driven management scenarios
Our Amherst based non-profit promotes the application of cutting edge science in the ecological management of rivers to mitigate the impact of global warming. Rushing Rivers works closely with many governmental and non-governmental organizations as well with independent scientists worldwide.
